IMO this movie blows and is really retarded...it basically says that if all the mexicans disappeared we would have no one to clean our cars/houses/clothing, we would not have fresh fruits or veggies, and all of cali would be lost in a panic because they couldnt take car of them selfs...in the beginning it seems like its trying to point out that we couldnt live with out mexicans but then it talks about how over more then half of the field workers in cali are mexican but the rest of everything doesnt skip a beat...so mexicans dont hold very important job titles?? lame movie ..
i was happy i didnt pay for it...

short revie: It's kind of a chick flick, but not really. lol. It's a relationship movie from the guys perspective of things, which makes it pretty unique. Zooey Deschannel is sooo hot/cute, she's like 80% of the reason I wanted to watch this movie. But it was a REALLY good movie. It's somewhat of an indie movie, so it's not really in all theaters. Lots of good dry humor and overall an awesome movie. I would watch it again.

ps if you've ever gone out to eat with Charlie and Teddy at a restaurant at the same time, there is a scene that will TOTALLY remind you of them. lol.

Got that right. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is an amazing actor. If you haven't seen The Lookout yet you have to see it.

I cant' believe he wanted to be Cobra Commander though..... I mean, i'm sure he knew G.I. Joe was going to suck. I mean..... this fag was in it.

The movie is presented by Peter Jackson to debut Neil Blomkamp as a director for a major film. All i have to say about Neil is that he's a chip off the old block. He directs just like Peter does. With drastic detail and incredible plot sensitive dialog. He did an enormous job on D-9, and triumphs.

Its brilliant and emotionally wrenching. District 9 has action, imagination, and it has all it needs to become a Sci-Fi classic. The movie takes place in South Africa, where the aliens have landed. The movie is shot like a T.V. special for the most part, it never drags on. If you pay close attention to what they are saying each segment is vital to the plot.

We had Sharlto Copley, with his first time working in front of the camera, filling an amazing role that demanded a lot out of any actor. Fills the shoes and takes you on an awesome ride as Wikus Van De Merwe.

I can go on, but.... District 9 is a great movie. If you love Sci-Fi, action, drama, great special effects, or a great story stop by and watch this one. Its going to turn your life extraterrestrial!!!

I watched this because my girlfriend wanted to see it. I also wanted to watch it because Kristen Bell is SUPER hot. Anyways it started off alright but it just cheesier and cheesier. Very predictable and the story line was pretty cliche. lol. I guess it's something to watch with your girlfriend? She didn't like it either though.
