I'm torn between the Cometic and Cosworth, mainly because of price. I've heard that the Cometic is a hit n' miss. Some people swear by them, others say they're crap. I haven't really heard any feedback from the Cosworth gasket, anyone have any experience with it?

So far, I haven't heard anything negative about the Cometic headgaskets... I've heard they're pretty decent. I plan to pick one up when I build up my KA.

ppl say that they don't seal well enough, but I've come to find out most of those reports come from ppl who either didn't torque them down properly or from ppl who never even done an engine build to begin with.
when I rebuild I'm more than likely going with a cometic, then again I have a KA.
And dude, if you have the money to go with a Cosworth, go for it. I mean c'mon it's freakin' Cosworth!

I heard about the bad sealing as well. I think I'm leaning toward to Cosworth more.

Basically there are a few questions that you need to ask yourself.
What do you need it for?
Are you going to abuse the hell out of it?
I suggest getting something that is metal.
I do know that 240sx have a tendency to blow head gaskets so spend an extra dollars and go with something that you are sure will not go out.
If you are going to do something, do it right the first time.

I built my bros SR with a cometic and arp head studs and he has never had a problem and he had it for about 1 year now. I used a Nismo gasket with ARP studs on my motor. I would just make sure that who ever is building your motor has the proper tools and knows what they are doing !!!!

unless you have 350-???ish horsepower, you wont ever be able to know which headgasket is better than another. get the cheapest one but make sure you've heard of the company. cometic works fine from my experience and drift speed's experiences. sr20 headgasket jobs are cake. follow the s15 factory service manual (fsm) and dont try anything fancy or not covered in the manual. if you fuck up the headgasket job what so ever it will not last as long as it should. if you need to talk to an sr expert for questions or whatevar call Drift Speed.
